Will anyone know that I am wearing it?
No one will know! Your wig is custom designed specifically for you, and we will make certain that you know how to wear it well and how to keep it looking good. For over 45 years we've lived by the philosophy, "If you can spot it, it's not ours!"

When I visit your office, what can you show me?
At any given time, we are working on a number of custom wigs and you will have the opportunity to see, touch and feel how natural our wigs are.

How much do they cost?
You can expect to pay on average $1800 to $2400 for an exact duplication wig. Price varies depending on materials, design and
hair style. Your price will be quoted at the initial design consultation.

Would insurance pay for my wig?
This varies with each insurance company. We suggest that you check with your insurance carrier about coverage. Because Raydiance is not a health care facility, we cannot bill insurance companies. However, we can provide you with a description of your exact duplication wig and an invoice that you could submit to your insurer to request reimbursement.

How quickly can you make my wig?
On average, we like to have 3-4 weeks of preparation before your wig is cut in. As a custom house we can expedite the production time. In emergencies we have been able to design and create an exact duplication wig in as little as 10 days.

What if I don't lose my hair?
Of the many hundreds of clients we have worked with, all who undergo chemotherapy do lose at least some percentage of their hair. In our experience, once they have seen their wig, few decide to not wear it. However, should a person decide not to wear the exact duplication wig once it's ordered, we will retain the deposit to cover the cost of materials and labor and refund the balance to them.

How is the wig maintained?
We recommend that a wig should be washed, conditioned and recurled at our office every 4 to 6 weeks at the salon. This service takes 45 minutes to 1 hour and clients are invited to relax in one of the private styling rooms while they wait.

Do you use human hair?
Yes. We also use synthetic fiber and blends of human hair with synthetic.

Can my daughter's or a friend's hair be used to make my wig?
Yes, However, we don't recommend it. There are several reasons why. One reason is that donation of hair must be at minimum 8 - 10 inches in order to produce a wig that has 5-6 inches of hair, so the donation length must be adequate to duplicate your length and style. Secondly, freshly cut human hair must be put through a number of preparations to make it ready for crocheting into a wig. We would need to send your hair out to a factory for a process know as de-cuticlization which adds at least 6 weeks to the wig making process. When you are experiencing medical related hair loss you generally do not have an 8-10 week wait for your hair replacement before your hair starts to fall out.

I color my hair. When is the best time to come in to have my color matched?
For best color matching, we would need to see you during the second week of your most recent
coloring. We want to see you on a 'good hair day' when both your color and style look the best.

Will I need more than one wig?
One seems to work well for a majority of women. If you live far away or out-of-state you may want to have two; one to wear when your other wig is in our salon being washed and styled.

How long do they last?
If you wear your wig on a regular (i.e. daily) basis and have it maintained as we have explained, the exact duplication wig should last you 3-4 years.
Can the style be changed after wearing it for a while?
Yes. We'll work with you to create the style that you want.
What will it feel like to wear?
Your exact duplication wig will be light, comfortable and fit your head securely.

Will it blow off in the wind?
After it is custom fitted to your head and under normal wind conditions your wig should never fall off or blow off your head. With the re-growth of hair, we strongly recommend that you come in to have adjustments made to guarantee your security and comfort.
